The project

This site is a digital archive devoted to the life, music and legacy of the cellist and composer Gaspar Cassadó. It gathers his biography, a discography as complete as possible —with covers, labels, reissues and audio links—, his catalogue as a composer, and articles.

It is a non-profit project, made by admirers of his music. If you would like to contribute recordings, images or information, write to us at the address below.

Acknowledgements

This archive builds on the work of those who have studied and documented Gaspar Cassadó’s output. We are especially grateful to Gabrielle Kaufman, whose studies —doctoral thesis and catalogue raisonné— are the basis of our sections on compositions and transcriptions, and to Mònica Pagès i Santacana, author of the reference biography of the musician.
